General Description This is a development role, requires to collaborate with other various functional teams under minimal coaching/supervision from EA Leader to perform and deliver suitable Engineering/Automated Solution outputs derived through logical design methodologies, standardized procedures and toolsets, identification and application of technologies and innovations that converts into customer centric solutions which are commercially viable. Specific Accountabilities 1. Responsible for managing the assigned Re-engineering solution projects for Schenker’s existing and potential Customers / Operations 2. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand the requirements, communicate data requirements and methodology. Responsible for documentation and reporting of project status, key milestone reports / analysis and recommendations 3. Responsible for project deliverable and presentation of results and recommendations to stakeholders 4. Analyse and document processes, workflows, position responsibilities and system flows in conjunction with physical supply chain, identify tactical recommendations 5. Identify innovative opportunities that generate efficiencies, design new processes and direct pilot tests. Assess impact of designed processes, impact to warehouse design, technologies needed, impact to customer etc. 6. Identify IE Methods and Statistical Techniques (i.e., work measurement) that can be used in the operations review and re-engineering of processes. Develop detailed approaches for undergoing above Methods and Techniques. Create templates for data collections, specify analysis details and define the deliverables for each of them. 7. Review the current lay-out and perform warehouse re-design as needed taking into consideration of net impact. Review appropriate storage type 8. Use variety of tools like AutoCAD, CLASS to understand, predict and / or improve logistics operations, warehouse lay-out and processes 9. Conduct Time studies and work measurement analysis to determine the current productivity and cycle times. Skills Required 1. Knowledge on operative IT systems/WMS and automation implementation or worked with automated logistics systems will be added advantage. 2. Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel functions – VBA/VLOOKUP/PivotTable, and PowerPoint, etc), and knowledge about other Microsoft 365 Apps including but not limited VISIO/Stream/Power BI is a plus. 3. Practical working experience with AutoCAD. Experience in CLASS, Sketchup and/or 4. other supply chain design software/tools is a plus. 5. Good knowledge in warehouse solution design; able to develop operationally feasible solution(s) to meet customer requirements. 6. Good project approach and ability to deliver results on time, on budget, and to the excellent standards. 7. Good command in spoken and written English and Chinese language 8. Good organization skills 9. Self-starter with positive attitude to overcome problems effectively and able to work under own initiative with minimal supervision. 10. Highly responsible, initiative, proactive, and able to coordinate and motivate people and to work as a team under time pressure Experience and Qualifications 1. Bachelor degree or above, in Industrial Engineering / Logistics Engineering / Automation
